Divide-by-40 Frequency Prescaler

My Digital Radio Hardware Design class was asked to due some RFIC Design work for a company that will remain nameless for confidentiality reasons.    The project was to design and implement a layout of a Q-Enhanced Filter.

The Q-Enhanced Filter consists of three parts that will be implemented on a single IC.

  1. Filter/Amplifier (Featuring Tuning & Q-Enhancement)
  2. Amplitude Detector (Used to determine if output is oscillating via microcontroller)
  3. Frequency Prescaler (Used by a microcontroller to count zero crossings –> frequency)
